Shalondra Moore earned her bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-4 from University of Houston (Central Campus). She began her career in Aldine ISD in 2005 at Francis Elementary as a 2nd Grade Teacher, and later a 3rd Grade Teacher. While at Francis, Ms. Moore was on several committees, became Grade level leader, began her journey as a Girl Scout Troop Leader,and was named 2007-2008 Teacher of The Year. Four years later, she decided to become a Kindergarten Teacher at the Oleson Elementary. While at Oleson, she taught grades Kindergarten and 2nd Grade GT. Ms. Moore took Girl Scout to another level with record breaking enrollment numbers. She was also named 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year. In the Fall of 2008, She later returned to Prairie View A &M University where she then earned a Masters of Art in Counseling. After accepting the Counseling position at Raymond, Ms. Moore feels that she has reached another milestone for helping others. Ms. Moore has earned numerous Scholar Awards as well as Community Awards. She is an active member in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and loves to plant seeds in Producing the Nation's Best!
The Counseling Department at Raymond Academy provides The Texas Comprehensive School Counseling Program(Individual Planning, Responsive Services, System Support, and Guidance Curriculum). The program focuses on the Emotional and Academic needs of the student population. The purpose of our program is for the students to be prepared academically as well as socially within the nation.
